The Swarthmore Public Library (SwPL) is looking to fill a recent vacancy on its Board of Trustees.
Trustee positions are for a three-year term. Candidates must be residents or taxpayers of the Borough, of voting age, and able to obtain PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse Clearances. Trustees are expected to serve on at least one committee: Strategic Planning, Personnel, Finance, Development, or Nominating. See the “Board Job Description” for more details.
The Swarthmore Public Library Board of Trustees meets at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of the month, with the exception of the Annual meeting in January (fourth Tuesday at 7:00 pm) and the September meeting (first Tuesday at 7:00 pm). The Board of Trustees does not meet in July or August.
All meetings are open to the public, and more information on meeting location and agenda can be obtained by contacting the library director.
