Storybook Walk

Take a walk and enjoy the story at SWPL’s Storybook Walk at Little Crum Creek Park!

Our Storybook Walk is a children’s picture book, displayed page by page in permanent installations along the paths in Little Crum Creek Park.

Begin your walk on Cresson Avenue then wind along the path by Little Crum Creek, through the field, and back again while reading a fun story.

The concept of the Storybook Walk was created to encourage literacy, exercise, and a connection to nature. It was first developed by Anne Ferguson, a librarian in Montpelier, Vermont.

Swarthmore’s Storybook Walk is brought to you by the Swarthmore Public Library with help from the Swarthmore Environmental Advisory Council, Swarthmore Borough, Swarthmore Public Works, Swarthmore Trailblazers 4-H Club, and the Friends of the Swarthmore Public Library.
