Join Swarthmore Public Library from June 15 – August 14 for our reading challenge, fun events, and prizes! All ages are welcome for our 2026 Summer Reading Program.
How to Participate
Head over to Swarthmore Public Library and grab one of our summer reading game boards! We have a game board for kids (ages 0-11) and a bingo board for teens (ages 12-17).
Kids: Giant Dino Game!
Log your reading progress on our game board. Fill in a circle for every 20 minutes read. When you fill in a special dinosaur bone, stop by the Swarthmore Public Library to play our Giant Dino Game and earn game tickets! You’ll be able to exchange all your earned tickets for fun prizes. Finish the entire game board to be put in a raffle for a grand prize!
The Giant Dino Game is available on weekdays from 3:00-4:30 PM. Readers can play the Giant Dino Game once per week. Need to play at another time, or planning an out-of-town trip for a week or two? Visit the Library Front Desk and we can run a game session for you any time during regular library hours.
Teens: Summer Reading Bingo
Complete any five boxes in a row on your bingo board (across or down) to get a BINGO! Each completed bingo gets you closer to earning entries into the grand prize raffle, with a maximum of 10 entries per reader.
- 1 bingo = 1 grand prize entry
- 3 bingos = 3 additional entries
- Full bingo board = 6 additional entries
