Volunteer Opportunities
Summer Teen Volunteers:
June 15 – August 15, 2026
To apply, you must be:
- Entering Grades 7-12
- Able to dedicate a few hours each week to work at the library
- Willingness to assist with programs
- Share ideas to improve the teen programs/teen area
- Willingness to work collaboratively with others on group projects/team activities
- Available to attend a Teen Volunteer Orientation
This is not an exhaustive list. We welcome all teens entering grades 7 – 12. Email teenservices@swarthmorepubliclibrary.org with any questions/concerns.

Adult Volunteer (Ages 18+):
The Friends of Swarthmore Public Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to library advocacy, fundraising, sponsoring programs and special events, and running a popular used book sale. Adults interested in volunteering at the Library are encouraged to reach out to the Friends of the Library. Email foswpl@gmail.com if interested.
